Kowa Compact Spottingscope TSN-553 Prominar 15-45x55

The Kowa Compact Spotting Scope TSN-553 15-45x55 is a compact light spotting Scope in the Kowa Prominar serie. This 55 mm variant has all technological developments in it  from its predecessors the TSN-880. These developments are put into a compact size, the TSN-533 is only 27.1 cm long and has a weight of only 810 grams. It's was Kowa's dream to develop a compact spotting scope with the best possible optical performance, with the TSN-553 the dream come true.

The spotting scope comes complete with a fixed eyepiece which has an enlargement of 15-45x. The compact scope has a close focus and is already focused on 3 meters. Flowers and insects can be seen in detail. The eyepiece features a twist-up eye cap and is therefore also suitable for persons wth glases.

Special about the Prominar series spotting scopes are the lenses, the Prominar lenses are made of fluorite crystal. Fluorite crystal is more difficult to handle than regular lenses made of glass. Nevertheless, Kowa choices to use the fluorite crystal lenses for the Prominar series. Namely, this natural material that is won in Japanese caves has no color blur and very high resolution and contrast.

The TSN-553 body is made of polycarbonateand can withstand impacts The spotting scope is gas filled with dry nitrogen gas and has waterproof class IPX7. This waterproof class allows the spotting scope to withstand rain.

When you want to capture your observations with your Iphone or Samsung Galaxy, you can use the Kowa smartphone adapters. For the TSN-553 you need the adapter ring TSN-AR 66Z, this ring and the adapters can be found with optional accessories.

 This 55 mm spotting scope does not Subordinate many 65 mm spotting scope of the well-known brands on the market, but the TSN-553 is much smaller and lighter in its weight. This makes him ideal for taking along without sacrificing performance.
